Blizzard is going to do a level squish and all level 120 characters will be level 50, and the level cap will be 60 again. So you will be level 50 going in to the Shadow Lands and the new expansion will take you to 60. For new level 1 characters, there will be a brand new shared starting zone (level 1-10) that all new players have to do. My Dwarf is a warrior and that also works well as Dwarves are good soldiers, especially the Bronzebeard. Warrior also goes well with the Dwarf heritage armor if you decide you want that. As a third option, you could play as a Wildhammer and go Shaman for your class. Skinning/leatherworking is a natural for a hunter.

Drain life, drain soul, seed of corruption, curses and what not are all necromanctic magic. Some of those are empowered with fel magic though but that costs a soul shard to use.
