Our old shiftpod 1, 7 burns at this point, that we gifted to campmates a couple years ago and was on a puddle in points - fine, some dampness. Our new to us shiftpod 2 bought used this year in pristine condition in co - half under a carport half in the elements. Half in a puddle under the floor. Some dampness seeped in but overall dry and no leaks.
I used an Whynter ARC-12SD last year with a Honda EU2200i. It worked ok, but sometimes the generator shut down when the AC cycled. For this year I wired in a Supco SPP5 to help the generator deal with power spikes. I tried it for a little while this morning and it seems to be working great in eco mode. Used (normal wear), SHIFTPOD 2nd generation, Used only once. Sets up and breaks down in 60 seconds. Fits in bag the size of an ez-up. Absolutely amazing for any camping environment. Shiftpod recommends reinforcing the roof during high winds, so we brought a 1" wide pvc pipe exactly 6'2" long. This was just big enough to prop up the roof in the middle of the tent during windstorms, but I don't think it was really ever necessary this year.
