There really is no "best" oil. Just do some research and use a good oil/filter. The important thing is to maintain your bike.

In temps above freezing, I have found Motul Mocool to work better. similar to water wetter.

The oil can icon comes on when the green/yellow lead from the oil pressure switch to the cluster gets shorted to ground.
