don't use player.additem, you have to pick them up. use player.placeatme to spawn them at your feet, then pick them up. can't remember the ID #, but if you do. help "star core" 0. in the console, I believe it is the second option that comes up. spawn in one as above, pick it up, and see if you get a notification that you picked one up.
