My Stellaris game keeps crashing and I have no idea why. So basically I downloaded astral planes and played an empire. I run across some fanatic purifiers but some marauders are between me and them so I breathe a sigh of relief and move on. Like a year later they split into two empires and now whenever I try to play with that empire the game ...

I’ve noticed that the paradox logo in the top left of the launcher says “Something went wrong while updating the launcher. Please contact support,” but that’s been there since 2.5, and never caused ... Anyways as of this morning I attempted to open Stellaris multiple times. Game opens fine, then it loads to 100% and stops responding for an indefinite length of time, and so the only option is to close it. Yesterday it would load just fine, it didn't stop responding, it hits 100% and then goes straight to the menu.
My game keeps suddenly crashing on a certain date in all of my Stellaris games. Rerolling to a previous save, even if it was 5-10 years before the crash date, will still cause the game to crash on that specific date. Yes! I just had something like this happen to me today. Go to your Documents\Paradox Interactive\Stellaris\logs folder and open up game.log. Scroll to the bottom. You should see whatever event caused the crash. Even tried clean reinstall (deleting left over files in Documents and Steam after uninstallation), running as Administrator etc. I've never installed mods before either so it's not like theres some left over files from a mod.
