We two 2nd generation Simplisafe systems, both prone to unexplained false alarms from motion sensors. One system watches an outbuilding. Originally it had motion sensors on the east and west wall and a door entry sensor. The east sensor routinely produced false alarms, so we added a third sensor on the south wall as an integrity check.
I just replaced the 2032 batteries in all 3 of my entry sensors. One of the sensors now the chime at the base station when I open the door, but the other two do not trigger the chime. Also, I rebooted the base station and got a message that said "entry sensor battery low." The batteries are all brand new, straight from the package. I tried deleting the sensor from the system and reinstalling it but it would not reinstall. I removed the OEM battery to check it's voltage. It measured at only 2.8 volts. I replaced the battery with a new Duracell 2032. My base station could now detect the entry sensor's signal and reinstalled it on the system.
