Flashing D Light and engine roughness during light acceleration driving. I got flashing d light today while driving. Noticed it when almost reached home. Turned off car and turned on again it and flashing D went away. 4-5 days back, Did transmission fluid drain and fill 2 times (few days apart) with Valvoline MaxLife.

If the slide door light is still on then you can jump the #4 and #9 pins of the DLC and then turn on the key to read the codes on the dash. After driving for a little while (and most always while at speed on highway), the door ajar indicator comes on for the driver's side door. Within seconds of this, the driver's door automatically unlocks.

Often when an engine code sets it also automatically causes the traction control (VSA) light to come on. I'd be very surprised if the cause has anything to do with the brakes.
