Dec 1, 2023 · Baldur’s Gate 3 crash issues following patch 5. Baldur’s Gate 3 is a massive RPG game based on the world of the beloved tabletop RPG, ‘Dungeons & Dragons’. It allows players to create their own adventure, and with each patch, the game becomes more fleshed out. The latest 30 GB patch has added numerous improvements to the game. I had the mod fixer and nothing would work when I removed it. Then I got rid of the mod fixer - kept the mods with mod fixer embedded, then installed the latest ImprovedUI mod and the script extender and now the saves all work as normal and the epilogue works too. It appears the Improved UI mod 'fixes' whatever patch 5 has done to the mod fixer.LL's BG3 mod manager is the best one. All mods work and it's the easiest installation. Just download the newest updates to the mods. put it in the Documents/LarianStudios/Baldur's Gate 3 folder, Open the Mod Manager, and export. If anyone really wants it I can make a Tiktok demo on installation if anyone is really having issues. I got my save working by deleting Script Extender and removing the tutorial chest summoning mod that uses it. BasketEquipment mods and ModularEquipment mod seem to work, and the save loaded even if it gave that warning about disabled mods on the Tutorial chest summoning mod. So, there might be a combination that might work for you too. Patch 5 Lag *Update*. I previously made a post talking about the lag issues introduced to a few people in patch 5, I'm making this post to let people know how I found a temporary workaround. Bear in mind, this only worked for lag issues in act 1 and 2, act 3 is still chugging heavily and I suspect will need an actual official fix from Larian.
