Watched a video of some guys in England shooting Mini14s, this was about 5 yrs ago. There guns were single shot . Rack op rod fire, hand rack op rod and so forth. I would think that they just had a solid gas port bushing. I cant see Ruger going to a great expense to make the guns they ship there into single shot.Second, I am not a really big fan of the 7.62x39 round. I have reloaded 300 BK for my AR build, but I do like the mini-14 size and style. My thought is if I can find a barrel chambered in 300 BK, I can put it on the mini-14 receiver, modify the gas system if needed, use the same bolt and mags.
