I looked up under and into the sensor with the light on my phone, and there were a couple of cat hairs coming in front of the sensor. Being that close to the sensor could cause it to read a fault, even something as small as a cat hair. Reattach the bonnet. There are four tabs total: two curved tabs in the back, two on the sides. The two curved tabs in back tuck into slots in the base. If they are sticking out, the unit will not cycle properly.
