Jeep patriot 4wd light flashing.

I am by no means an expert but my 2 cents would be possible connection issue, such as the bump is causing a connection to be completed and bring on the signal and after you get off the bump the connection is terminated until the next bump with enough force/size to do it again.I dont have the manual in front of me but there are certain functions where the 'recirculate' works. When it is able to recirculate, the light will stay lit. When you selected an option that does not allow recirculation, the light will blink and then shut off. Defrosting is not one of possible recirculating options. Not sure if floor is.

The dealer flashed the TSB concerning the problem and it went away. A few weeks ago the light started coming on again, concurrently with the 'traction control off' light.Maybe the abs ring, maybe the wheel sensor isn't seated properly. If you replaced the bearing only and not the entire assembly, the abs ring may not be facing towards the sensor, or maybe it's a bearing that doesn't have the abs ring. It's a 2.4L, 5 Speed, Manual Transmission. And around 65,000 miles on it. And has all routine maintenance up to date. The Jeep Patriot has been a great car for me but around 60,000 miles it started this thing where during acceleration it would lose power for a few seconds.
