This is a Peltier marble in the MCR family. This color combo is on the more difficult side to find. They are somewhat prone to internal fracturing in my experience. Since we were discussing Peltier Prima Agates in Scott's "Dazed and confused..." thread, I thought I would post some look-a-likes for identification and open discussion. Here are a couple photos of a group of five marbles. There is at least one confirmed Peltier Prima Agate in the group. Which one and why? Any guesses as to what the others are?

Dave, this is a (prime) example of a Peltier that is a tad bit harder to find. This has the inner/outer composition of a beautiful green family type probably being an earlier type of a possible NLR. When Peltier played with this (green) color, you may find MANY shades and concentrations of this in lots of family types. At first I thought these were foreign... but now I'm seeing more images of the novas and am wondering if these or at least some of these are Peltier? All are about 5/8 inch and opaque. Al, first marble not sure of but the second and third marble Pelts for sure, last one also not sure of. Photos never do justice to id marbles, hard to tell sometimes without being (in hand). I do find now and then a Peltier that, one ribbon shows this V pattern and makes you think Vitro, but is not a Vitro but a different maker like Peltier.

Peltier John Deer? size .889 was with batch of peltier and Akro marbles that I just got. shooters size ones that were a surprise none listed as shooters. I included other pelt shooters A Cub-scout and a Super-boy both over 3/4.This is what I know, what I’ve been told, and what I have read about regarding oxblood: First off, your marble does look like it is a Peltier Rainbo. The red streak doesn’t look to be oxblood (IMO). It is lacking the deep richness of oxblood, but that doesn’t mean it’s not.
