Clutch Slipping: 2 Problems, 1 solved. 1st problem (solved) Clutch didn't engage until lever was almost all the way out. Solved this clutch release problem by taking apart master cylinder. Pic below is what I found. Funny. Guess PO had problems too, hence him selling it cheap.

Long story short, I brought my carb into work and it got thrown out. Now I need a replacement. It has an aftermarket exhaust system and i have no idea if it was properly jetted or not to match the exhaust but my father has had this bike for a couple years now and has never had a problem till now. When engine is started the rear cylinder doesn't fire consistently.

The alternator is in the crankcase and blow-by from the piston rings will pressurize the case if it can't vent. Don't replace your lash adjusters, fix them. I have 05 Vulcan 2000. At 60,000 miles my adjusters started getting noisy. Oil change helped for awhile. Auto parts oil additives helped for awhile. MECHANICAL TROUBLESHOOTING KAWASAKI VUCAN 1999The service manual shows how to do a "dealer mode 1 and or dealer mode 2" test that may help you to find the problem, or you may have one of these: alternator trouble, wiring faulty, regualtor/rectifer trouble.
