How to fix hill start assist not available ford focus.

Going to resurrect this thread from the dead, but it was the closest to what I've been experiencing. I have a 2017 Escape Titanium 2.0 AWD. 34902mi. For the past month I've been getting the random "Hill Assist Not Available" Message and Stability Control light on my dash when I stopped on inclines or had to stop hard at a traffic light in the city.unfortunately not yet. I also replaced the brake pedal switch to no avail. I have codes for low battery voltage, so I'm hoping replacing alternator does the trick. Seems like there's a plethora of possible root causes of the hill start assist warning and it's incredibly complicated to diagnose. such a bummer. good luck with it.The problem is usually caused by a faulty EPAS (electronic power assisted system) module and/or battery. . Also, noticed auto hold did not seem to be turned on. When I tried to turn it on I got an message about a fault with the hill start assist. Can not turn auto hold on and continue to get message every time I try. Not sure if any of this is related to the updates. Will contact the dealer first thing Monday
