Reddit favorite books.

I have used Reddit's top 200 books for a while now to find books to read. Just thought there should be a list for short stories also. Reply reply ... The excellent balance of action and philosophy/deep stuff just the right amount that the reader can understand . From book 3 onwards it all gets way full of philosophy and things thst just blow your brain trying to understand them. Book 5 and 6 while decent are just wierd. Book 1 to 3 is peak dune imo.Haven't read all of them yet (just finished Time of Contempt), but Sword of Destiny is my favourite so far, I love those short stories. Sword of Destiny, especially Something More and A Little Sacrifice teared me apart. I'm only to read Lady of the Lake and I expect it to top those two. Lady of the Lake, quite by far.Later goes on to follow his descendants. Really good historical fiction. First book is a tad slow for a little bit, but it picks right up again. Based heavily on The Secret History of the Mongols. His Emperor series will be 5 books when the next one comes out, but it's just too fictionalized and untrue to the historical record for my taste.

Lately I've had a hard time finding a good scary book to read. I read all of Stephen King (Salem's Lot) and Dean Koontz (Phantoms) books. Peter Straub (Ghost), Dan Simmons (Summer of Night) they're okay but not some of my favorite. I decided to give other horror authors a chance and found a few I actually enjoyed.
