Hi, I just received my new HP Envy x360 ar0118au model laptop yesterday from Amazon. It came with pre-installed Windows 10 Home. I have to update the BIOS but I am unable to find the bitlocker recovery key using the procedure given by HP. I logged into the microsoft account, but it says the below: Click Start . Press and hold the Shift key, click Power, and then select Restart while holding the Shift key. Continue holding the Shift key while the computer restarts. On the Choose an option screen, select Troubleshoot . On the Troubleshoot screen, select Reset this PC . Follow the instructions to reset your computer. Copy and then paste the followng virtual basic script into a notepad file and save as productket.vbs (save as type) to the desktop. Double click on it and it wil return the Windows activation product key in a dialog box on the desktop. Set WshShell = CreateObject(" WScript.Shell ")Scroll down to Devices and then click View details for the device requesting the recovery key. Figure 1: Microsoft account desktop view.
