Mar 30, 2022 · The GMC Acadia’s six-speed transmission is the subject of recalls and TSBs for serious failure and unreliability in 2007-2017 models. 2007-2008 Acadias experience early transmission failure, 2009 models suffer from broken clutch plates and hard shifting, while 2013 and 2017 years are plagued by faulty solenoids and shift to park systems.
We are at wits end with our 2008 Awd Acadia. We have had the transmission redone by GM for the wave plate issue at 180km, now we’re at 250km and have been having a random stall when coming to a stop with no CEL. The vehicle will also on occasion shudder/jerk when almost coming to a stop, then accelerate fine.Experiencing a constant vibration at approximately 1600-1700 RPM in any gear at steady speed. Dealer service tech has been able to duplicate the problem on my 2017 Denali as well as other new Acadias in the dealer's inventory. The vibration seems to be engine related.
