16713 posts · Joined 2012. #3 · Aug 22, 2013. If you want a Glock 30sf, the Gen.4 Glock with no back strap should be the same as the Gen. 3 SF. The S model 30's have a thinner slide like the 9mm, .40 S&W, and .357 Sig Glocks. Unfortunately they come on the 30sf lower, so no Gen.4 option as of yet.

I like the Gen4 grip frame better, but as you know the G30S uses the same size frame, just in Gen3 SF form instead of Gen4. The slide is thinner on the 30S as it uses a G36 slide (on a G30SF frame).

G30 gen 4 size vs G30sf. I am recently new to Glocks (mainly a Walther P99 guy due to grip size) and since recently getting a G26 I have gone Glock crazy I guess....I want a G30sf since I prefer the grip size better but will the new Gen 4 G30 be the exact size/smaller than the SF.
