To me, who shoots a 20 year old bow and has no loyalty, the P4 was superior. I actually shoot a 21 year Mathews and was planning on switching to the Hoyt because of all the reviews the past few years. After shooting both I like the Phase 4 much better.

I shoot my old Hoyt Vector 35 better than my Vertix, even though the Vertix is smoother, quieter, and less hand shock. I gotta move to a longer ATA bow. I have both and am currently reviewing the Phase 4. Agree that if you own the V3X you may want the incremental improvements delivered by the Phase 4.

I would have said Hoyt. Then they just dropped the Z1S Speed Bow for this year. So Mathews did worse for sure. Hoyt RX7 Ultra 80lb limbs, Epsilon Rest, Axcel Landslyde Picatinny with Ultraview UV3XL Scope, Hoyt 1 piece quiver, Hoyt Stabilizers, Stan Perfex Thumb.

Honestly gotta shoot them both one will just feel better to you. If you can’t shoot both based on the specs the Mathews is a shorter ata at 34ish and the Hoyt is 36ish. The Hoyt in theory should be more forgiving because it is longer. The Mathews will be lighter and slightly faster shooting. The cam feel you have to pull to feel it.It is light but so is the new Mathews. They claim it’s stronger than carbon and dampens vibration 3X better than 6061 aluminum and 20X more than carbon. 30% lighter than 6061 aluminum as well. This year we challenged ourselves to innovate at the leading edge of what physics will allow in a hunting bow. By damping vibration directly in the limbs, we are able to drastically reduce downstream wasted energy felt in the hand during and after the shot.I will say the Hoyt's DL felt short on both the 30 and 33 in comparison to the Mathews. I was surprised that the longer ata Hoyt draw cycle wasnt as linear as the 30. It had a small dump into the valley similar to the Mathews. The Hoyt 33 also had just a slight buzz in the palm of my hand and it wasnt as quiet as the 30 or the V3X.If you have a V3X like me, I personally wouldn’t buy a Phase 4. It would be cheaper to add limb dampeners between the limbs or buy an adjustable stab, like the crossover stabs on my V3X. If you don’t have a Phase 4, it is one of the top 2 bows Ive shot this year. The Hoyt VTM 31 and Phase 4 29 are still the top of the class in my opinion.Jun 8, 2023 · Get entered in to win 2 bows of your choice here!: https://haxenhunt.com/Thanks for Tuning back in on another Haxen Hunt Bow Comparison! Apples to apples. I bought the new Phase 4 which I thought shot a lot cleaner, felt a lot more crisp and definitely had a more solid back wall. I really liked the bridgelock accessories with the Mathew’s as well. Hoyt’s draw cycle was a lot smoother though. 70lb vs 70lb but the Hoyt felt like you were pulling 60 or lower. The Hoyt draw ...
