At that point it's basically a weapon with a colossal move set and nothing more. Being able to choose the Aow on the Greatsword already puts it ahead of Ghiza's but it also has a better moveset as well. Greatsword is a far more practical weapon. Using the light attack where it swings boath of them causes massive blood build-up and let's you shred through enemies. Despite the mimic nerf it still retains the bleed output of weapons so using the mimic can go hand in hand together.

Just to clarify further: When wielding any other weapon, for example my Grafted greatsword, the armament damage is 496, and levelling STR or DEX does increase R Armament 1.
