These trucks will run a 35 in stock form. I have 37s on mine right now. It has 2.5" ready lift all the way around. My 37s are on 20x10 Fuel Mavericks. Tires are Mickey Thompson Deegan 38s (they are called a 38, but are actually a 37). Not sure of the backspacing, but they barely rub at full lock to the right when in reverse. Just an FYI I ordered Wicked Custom's 4" kit after reading that OP had no rubbing/trimming with 37x13.50 on 22x10 w/-24 offset. He may not have realized it, but the installer did some pretty serious trimming of the fender well. Clearing 37's on a level setup will depend on what exact tire and wheel spec you want to run along with a few other variables. At minimum you will want to run and adjustable track bar and be prepared to do some trimming to the front bumper braces and inner fender liners. My solution was finding a wheel that still keeps them tucked under the fender. Tire pressure in 37" tires. I have a 04 6.0 with 37x13.5 Toyo's on it. Most people run way more air in their tires than needed. I normally let air out until the tire sits flat on the ground. To get a good footprint I had to go to 40psi front and 30 psi rear. The 6.2 is a lot cheaper/easier to maintain. As long as your not towing all the time there is really no need for a diesel in my opinion. My 6.2 is faster 0-60 than my cummins was it just doesn't have the low end torque of the diesel.
